Comply

I’m in this busted up leather seat, 10,000 feet above the sea

We are not just along for the ride

We’re just caught amongst the stars and fleets

Looking down at fields and hills

It seems much different from here

It’s almost like the places we fight for are delicate with their own scenes and fears

Crackling and dried goes the surface unkept

Some won’t miss what they haven’t seen

In one eventually as I slept

they say you have to know your role

there are things you can’t even control

they say many things about one’s soul

there are glimpses of emulsion, a black hole

they say do as your told

you’ll fight even when your old

compliance looking past what’s sold

It’s a f*cked up system to uphold
